GALATIANS 1:3-5.... Grace and spiritual blessing be to you and [soul] peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), Who gave (yielded) Himself up [to atone] for our sins [and to save and sanctify us], in order to rescue and deliver us from this present wicked age and world order, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father – to Him [be ascribed all] the glory through all the ages of the ages and the eternities of the eternities! Amen (so be it).
The following quote is from The Institute for Creation Research’s daily devotional, Days of Praise – 10-28-2010.
In these days, and in earlier times, there has been much idealistic talk about a coming "new world order" in which all nations will become as one, and there will be no more war or poverty. Many people thought (some still do) that world communism would bring this about. Others look to a worldwide Islamic government to accomplish this. Various would-be world emperors (e.g., Hitler, Napoleon) have come and gone. Many pin their hopes on the United Nations. All the various "New Age" cults and organizations are working toward such an end. And, strangely enough, many Bible-believing Christians still think that the Christian church can bring about such revival and reconstruction of the coming chaos that we can Christianize and then rule the world.
They are all wrong. There is a kingdom coming which will bring perfect peace and righteousness, and it will last forever, but men will not accomplish it. "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts [not that of men!] will perform this" (Isaiah 9:7).
End of quote (Emphasis mine).
There are three sources of information or knowledge available to us: (1) That which God has revealed unto us in the Bible or His Word; (2) the lies which Satan tries to deceived us with; and (3) that which is derived from human investigation either from God’s Word and God’s creation, or from human investigation into the forbidden demonic spiritual realm. Obviously, to believe or put confidence in anything connected with Satan is the height of foolishness since Jesus has exposed his true character, "He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false" (John 8:44b). So anyone who believes what God has said should naturally dismiss Satan as a true source of information.
Difficulty arises however, in our pursuit of correct information and knowledge when we come to the third source – human investigation. Those who believe and understand God’s Word view creation and all of life through a Biblical lense and try to live as God has directed us; those who don’t believe or know God have no recourse but to rely upon their own resources and reasoning ability. Therefore, the believer and the nonbeliever soon come into conflict, especially in regards to spiritual life, when they attempt to work together, and that is why God has instructed us – "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Cor. 6:14a).
This does not mean that we should not witness to them and influence them for Christ, but that we shouldn’t unite or associate with them in any activities that would discredit Christ or the Gospel, or any other close association because sooner or later conflict is almost certain to arise because of the different base for making moral decisions.
Now this doesn’t mean that nonbelievers cannot have good intentions or a desire to improve existing conditions, it just means that they will not give God any consideration in the process – just the opposite of what God requires of His people. So the opposition we come up against in the above compromised situation can be composed of nonbelievers who are well intentioned, those who have never heard of God, those who are not interested in knowing God, those who are secretly resisting God, and those who are openly opposed to God – which makes up by far the majority of this world’s population.
The following Scriptures are God’s declaration concerning every area of the acquired knowledge of man, especially in regards to spiritual life, that is gained apart for Him, or contrary to His revealed Word.
1 CORINTHIANS 1:18-25.... For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God. For it is written, I will baffle and render useless and destroy the learning of the learned and the philosophy of the philosophers and the cleverness of the clever and the discernment of the discerning; I will frustrate and nullify [them] and bring [them] to nothing. [Isa. 29:14] Where is the wise man (the philosopher)? Where is the scribe (the scholar)? Where is the investigator (the logician, the debater) of this present time and age? Has not God shown up the nonsense and the folly of this world's wisdom? For when the world with all its earthly wisdom failed to perceive and recognize and know God by means of its own philosophy, God in His wisdom was pleased through the foolishness of preaching [salvation, procured by Christ and to be had through Him], to save those who believed (who clung to and trusted in and relied on Him). For while Jews [demandingly] ask for signs and miracles and Greeks pursue philosophy and wisdom, we preach Christ (the Messiah) crucified, [preaching which] to the Jews is a scandal and an offensive stumbling block [that springs a snare or trap], and to the Gentiles it is absurd and utterly unphilosophical nonsense. But to those who are called, whether Jew or Greek (Gentile), Christ [is] the Power of God and the Wisdom of God. [This is] because the foolish thing [that has its source in] God is wiser than men, and the weak thing [that springs] from God is stronger than men.
1 CORINTHIANS 3:18-20.... Let no person deceive himself. If anyone among you supposes that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool [let him discard his worldly discernment and recognize himself as dull, stupid, and foolish, without true learning and scholarship], that he may become [really] wise. [Isa. 5:21] For this world's wisdom is foolishness (absurdity and stupidity) with God, for it is written, He lays hold of the wise in their [own] craftiness; [Job 5:13] and again, The Lord knows the thoughts and reasonings of the [humanly] wise and recognizes how futile they are.
Therefore, we need to be aware of the enemy’s activities and always on guard against them, for, "Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error]. For many will come in (on the strength of) My name [appropriating the name which belongs to Me], saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray" (Matt. 24:4-5). And Peter warns us, "Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour" (1 Peter 5:8).
With these thoughts in mind, let us examine what appears to be Satan’s foremost endeavor and networking-mechanism in his effort to deceive, conquer and control. There is, and has been for several years, a current movement going on worldwide that every Christian should be warned about and avoid – the New World Order or Global Governance movement – which actually incorporates most of the deceptive cults, false religions and movements, and occultic technics and practices that Satan controls and uses. It seems as if everything evil in this world is being brought together in this effort to establish Global Governance. Keep in mind that good, well-intentioned people can be a part of this movement if they are unaware of the Satanic nature and intentions behind it. The gory details of it all would take a considerable amount of time to explore, and so we will try to make this as concise and simple as possible.
We must also keep in mind that many of the compelling reasons for global governance can be valid and very convincing, but only because those who hold it have no hope in God and see that something must be done to correct the overwhelming problems facing mankind. Therefore, as stated before, having no hope or confidence in God they must rely upon their own resources of political, economical and physical forces to accomplish their goals. They do not realize that it is God business to put rulers into office or remove them, not ours (this does not mean that we shouldn’t vote): "IN THE beginning of the reign of Zedekiah son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord: Thus says the Lord to me: Make for yourself thongs and yoke bars and put them on your neck, and send them to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the Ammonites, to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon by the hand of the messengers who have come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah. And command them to say to their masters, Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Thus shall you say to your masters: I have made the earth, the men, and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I give it to whomever it seems right and suitable to Me. And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant and instrument, and the beasts of the field also I have given him to serve him. And all nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson until the [God-appointed] time [of punishment] of his own land comes; and then many nations and great kings shall make him their slave" (Jer. 27:1-7). "LET EVERY person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities. For there is no authority except from God [by His permission, His sanction], and those that exist do so by God's appointment. Therefore he who resists and sets himself up against the authorities resists what God has appointed and arranged [in divine order]. And those who resist will bring down judgment upon themselves [receiving the penalty due them]" (Rom. 13:1-2). "I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate [closely and habitually] with unchaste (impure) people – not [meaning of course that you must] altogether shun the immoral people of this world, or the greedy graspers and cheats and thieves or idolaters, since otherwise you would need to get out of the world and human society altogether! But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person. What [business] of mine is it and what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside [the church] upon whom you are to pass disciplinary judgment [passing censuring sentence on them as the facts require]? God alone sits in judgment on those who are outside. Drive out that wicked one from among you [expel him from your church]" (1 Cor. 5:9-13).
Therefore, when we join with groups and organizations that are trying to change the world, instead of working with God to build-up and equip the Church, we are meddling in God’s business when we should be attending to the kingdom of God! What we usually find is that most churches are doing the exact opposite of what God has declared in the above paragraph, and too often find themselves involved in the deception of the enemy. To explore this topic more thoroughly, see the website page Human Authority And Christian Responsibility.
Satan has presented and is using all the elements and factions at his disposal, in such a way as to condition us into being comfortable about their presence and eventually to accept their precepts. Another tactic of his is to get people so confused by the multiple details of our problems that they lose their confidence in God, if they ever had any, and increasingly look to human help instead of turning to God for the right answers. Thus, through his many and varied processes he has almost destroyed our culture and is attempting to take from us the freedom we have enjoyed as American citizens and God-fearing people. Our response should be, "So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
We need to be well aware of and act upon the principle that this is a spiritual battle and not a physical one, "For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere" (Eph. 6:12). And the weapons we are to use and how we are to use them are also given to us, "For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ" (2 Cor. 10:3-5).
One of the main reasons for this article, therefore, is to help you realize that you can’t reasonably expect to remain free of Satanic deception if you don’t take the time to investigate and find out what the real intention and motivating factors are behind this or any other movement before you become involved with them. Even if we ignore and have nothing to do with them, usually they still exercise some measure of influence over us because, among other things, we are too inclined to accept the media reports, or lack of reports concerning them.
